It made me so mad!!
I remember working with a guy years ago, and he was absolutely impossible.
He made no bones about it too.
All and sundry heard about how unhappy he was, and how much he didn’t want to be there.
He missed deadlines, constantly delivered things when he felt like it, and he always arrived to work late too.
The problem was that I needed him.
But his lack of interest and inability to deliver for his team affected our productivity, our output, and ultimately it started to chew into our sales.
If you’ve ever worked with someone like this, then you know as well as I do how bad they are for businesses.
I call disengaged employees “silent business killers”, because they do exactly that.
In fact, in just the US alone, disengaged employees cost the economy more than half a trillion dollars.
Yikes.
